Investigative journalism is a type of journalism that involves extensive research and analysis to uncover hidden information and expose wrongdoing. Wali got the UNICEF Meena Awards in the Television Category, UNESCO Bangladesh Journalism Award for Investigative Journalism in the Television Category, Disaster Management Media Award from the Food and Disaster Ministry of Bangladesh, and the Disaster Management Bureau of Bangladesh Award in the Television Category.

Wali has got the “Disaster Management Award 2009” given by the Ministry of Food and Disasters, this award was supported by three international organizations – UNDP, DFID & EU. He got this award for reporting on the struggles of displaced people affected by disasters. He got the UNICEF MEENA AWARD 2010 for his report on child sailors – five-six-year-old children who literally help their father earn money by sailing boats, this aspect was highlighted in the report. Wali received the “Disaster Management Bureau Award 2011”, supported by CDMP & Action Aid. The report was conducted to create awareness and response to disaster situations in the disaster-prone coastal areas of Bangladesh. And, he has got “UNESCO BANGLADESH JOURNALISM AWARDS 2012” for the four-part series of reports on the violence and criminal activity of river squatters in Bangladesh.

Mohammad Moksedur Rahman Wali is nature lover and humanitarian. He is also a real thinker of environment. He is feelings and observation has reflected in his working on nature and environment. Wali has written books on environment and also edit books as an editor and also a member of the panel editors. He has completed Honours and Masters from Rajshahi University in Mass communication. He has visited USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and more than 30 countries.
