The Sampriti Concert UK-2025 will be held for the third time on 16 February in Birmingham, UK. Prior to the event, a meeting was held with journalists and civil society members at the London-Bangla Press Club on 7 February.
At the meeting, freedom fighter Dewan Gaus Sultan, Prashant Purkayastha, Urmee Mazher, Murad Khan, Juyel Raaj and Nazrul Islam Okib, amongst others spoke on behalf of the Sampriti Concert.
It was informed that the ‘Sampriti Concert UK-2025’ will be held for the third time in Birmingham on 16 February at the invitation of Purbanat.
Sampriti Concert UK is a collective cultural initiative of artists, writers, intellectuals, journalists, and Bengalis living in the UK.
The organisers said that from the beginning, we wanted to spread this non-communal cultural message throughout the UK. In continuation of that, the third Sampriti Concert 2025 will be held in Birmingham at the invitation of Purbanat. Purbanat also believes in the same non-communal spirit, so this time, it will organise this event in Birmingham as the initiator.
The meeting mentioned the aims and objectives of Sampriti Concert UK. It said that we will work together on the same stage, shoulder to shoulder, to uphold Bangladesh’s thousand-year-old cherished religious and cultural heritage. We want to see the implementation of the ideals of non-communalism and secularism, which were the basis for the victory in the great Liberation War in 1971, through the sacrifice of 3 million martyrs and 300,000 mothers and sisters, and the life-long struggle of millions of freedom fighters. We will maintain and nurture absolute trust in fundamental human rights and freedoms and unwavering respect for the dignity and valuesof human beings in our actions, thoughts and consciousness. We want an end to the persecution that has been committed against people of different religions, castes, creeds and backgrounds in Bangladesh from time to time.
The organization calls on partners to convey the message of a non-communal humane world to the next generation.
